My wife and I found Karen a few months back when initially learning of reiki and it's possible benefits. I myself visited first as my wife loves to have me try and report my feelings on new ventures such as this. And boy was I amazed.... At first I was apprehensive that this amazing wonderful feeling was a placebo effect I worked up myself. Day by day, week by week and so on the time went by and I was living my life in a new light without signs of less greatness.
My wife soon visited and had a similar experience with long lasting and life changing feelings. We have since returned to Karen for further sessions and amazing results. Our situations and experiences that we needed to deal with in our lives varied but Karen's techniques were spot on. A further example that I was not even looking at reiki as a cure for was my allergies. I've been a life long chronic sufferer of extreme allergies that western medicine has never been able to control to any extent. After visiting Karen a few times I am virtually allergy free for the first time in 30 years.
My wife and I can't say enough how happy we are we found such an amazing person as Karen. So friendly, open hearted, easy and comfortable to be with. Thanks again Karen!

While I felt excited about the Reiki part of the session, I was definitely nervous about the hypnosis. I really didn't know what to expect. You led me into a soothing, gradual relaxation that was like a very deep, guided meditation.  I felt very safe and comfortable. I felt that I was absorbing your words with no effort. I have been doing that wonderful meditation that you gave me every morning to start my day. At night I put my hands on my stomach and spend some time meditating on how healed I am before I sleep. I am so excited about this world of energy.  I can honestly say that I can feel the difference both physically and mentally. You used the word "optimistic" several times during the session and that is exactly what I have been feeling. It's just a general feeling of well-being and lightness - and not about anything in particular but on the whole.  My anxious stomach is better than it's been in months.

I found Karen two months before I underwent head surgery to remove a tumor in my skull.  My spirit was weary from going through the grinder that is the medical establishment.  I had heard about the power of Reiki so (naturally), I googled practitioners in my area.  I was drawn to Karen's website but arrived at her place for the first time unsure exactly what to expect.  I was blown away by what I experienced: our Reiki sessions were so powerful and I still felt grounded days later.  
In addition to Reiki, Karen also hypnotized me.  During these sessions, we focused on visualizing a complication-free surgery and my optimal recovery.  Karen even recorded a personalized hypnosis track I could put on my iPod.  I listened to that track on LOOP in the days and hours leading to my surgery.  I rolled into the operating room at ease and with a full heart.  I credit this feeling to my Reiki and hypnosis with Karen.  I am eternally grateful that my surgery was a success and that I gained a friend and guide in the process.

Living my whole life as an ADD perfectionist, I have always been so stressed out.  I was always worrying about being late, getting the next thing done or is someone going to be upset because every thing is not perfect. I was looking for something/someone that could really help me with getting my life under control.  I did some searching on the Net and came across Karen's website (you know it's meant to be when you do a search for someone in SW Portland suburbia and Karen's name comes up in north NE Portland).  I originally thought I would go to Karen for Hypnotherapy. But she also does Reiki ~ what in tar nation is that?  So I looked that up on the web and I thought ok, I will give it a try.  What a difference Reiki has made in my life!!!  Now instead of hurry up to hurry up, everything is an adventure to relax and enjoy and not be controlled by the Need to "Do" or "Be". 
I finally feel I know what it means to have relaxation at the deepest levels of your spirit.  When I feel somewhat overwhelmed, I just stop and do a paradigm shift and interrupt my meltdown, with just relax ~ it is what it is and it will all work out.  I am happier and more focused and enjoying life more than I can ever remember.  And, oh yes, Karen is amazing!  She is not only my Reiki practitioner, but has also become my friend.  It is amazing how comfortable you feel with her right from your first meeting. Give it a try, you will be amazed by Karen and the results you will achieve.

I recently had a reiki and hypnosis session with Karen and will definitely be back for more. It was my first experience with reiki. I attended Karen's Reiki practitioner workshop this weekend, Feb 9th and 10th. I had a great time, and developed a solid base in Reiki 1&2. Karen is a wonderful teacher and guide. She honors the oral history of Reiki and took the time to take us through the rich lineage of this healing therapy.
Karen is also a spiritual guide, so through a number of meditations she helped me relax and open up to the energy work we were doing, I am grateful for this, and will use these beautiful meditations in my daily life.
I would encourage anyone interested in receiving Reiki therapy or exploring the practice, to work with Karen Christensen. I will be looking forward to future events with Karen's Intention Reiki and hypnosis practice.
